Mediview Pty Ltd is a medication review business operating for over 15 years, that provides services to several clinics across Melbourne.

We instal electronic referral systems which prompt the doctors to refer eligible patients for a home medication review (HMR), whilst the patients are in the consultation room. There is no charge for the installation and ongoing use of this system. All patient data is trawled automatically from the patient file and sent end-to-end encrypted to the pharmacist.  Referring electronically generates significantly more referrals than a paper-based system.

Importantly, home medication reviews (item 900) generate $180.65 per referral – a doctor referring just one patient per day will make $47,000 per year.

Notably, DMMR’s are part of the MBS Chronic Disease Prevention and Management, so that any patient qualifying for such a management plan would almost certainly qualify for a HMR.
